I am reactivating this website.
I am looking for students at different levels (undergraduate, graduate) to work with me (and in colaboration with other researchers) in problems involving mathematical optimization applied to energy systems and operations research, artificial intelligence (machine, deep and reinforcement learning, applications of large language models in industry).
I will teach the following courses:
1 - Applied control for oil and gas industry (undergraduate)
2 - Optimization (graduate)
3 - Introduction of electrical power systems (graduate; in collaboration with 2 professors)
I will participate at 2025 Hydropower Scheduling Conference in Rio de Janeiro, presenting the work: “Impact of environmental constraints in hydrothermal energy planning”, in colaboration with Cláudia Sagastizábal, André Diniz, Luiz Felipe Bueno and Rafael Lobato, which will occur in May 26 to 28.
